As there are many kinds of artificial
intelligence developed to perform different
tasks, I do think it is appropriate to specify
that this policy concerns generative AI. When I
say genAI, I mean image generators and large
language models that generate images and text on
demand.
My promise to you is that I do not use them.
These systems were already trained on my stolen
labor, and I refuse to train them even more for
free. Everything I write to you, I myself wrote.
I will never share any property you entrust to
me with any third party, especially not with a
genAI which will only steal your work for its
training data.
I will also not ask you to disclose any use of
genAI. I will certainly never run the text
through an AI “detector” as first, that is
sharing with a third party and second, that goes
into its training data and becomes theft. I will
not accuse you of using an LLM, even if I
suspect you have.
I will simply give you my notes on it, which
will be no use to you if you did not write it.
I will give you my thoughts, which will be of no
help if you did not think.
I will make arguments, which you will have no
defense against if you made no decisions.
As for art, what good are my red-lines to you if
you do not draw? Stable diffusion is not
drawing. It won’t understand my advice for
correction.
